Business movie, Fake Famous.

Hi I’m Brian Pombo, sorry, I was trying my best duck lips there.

Welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live. I want to talk about this movie called, Fake Famous, not sure if you’ve heard of it yet. It’s out on HBO, one of these direct to TV deals, it’s just a movie, documentary, real life story, as much as you can take it as being real life being that it’s a movie, but it’s really worth watching.

And it isn’t very often that I’ll recommend a movie when I’ve only watched it once. Oftentimes, the movies I watch are ones that, that once I bring to you, or once I’ve watched over and over again, gotten multiple things from it.

This is one of those that I’ve seen once, I know I’m going to reread watching it not only that, I’ll probably bring you a string of videos all about this one movie.

It’s that impactful.

It’s very timely. But I think also in 20 years, its impact will be even stronger. Because we’ll have it to be able to look back on I think we’ll see it as quite cute at that point.

But I think that where it is right now, I think there were some points that were made really well by the film. And there are some points that were not that were really missed, because the filmmakers lack of business acumen.

So what’s the movie about fake famous is all about this filmmaker that basically takes three people in a group group of others, take three people, not three of the most likely people but three of the most unlikely people to ever be famous online as an influencer as one, especially the Instagram style influencer.

So very visual, very all about taking pictures and videos, and playing to a certain youth category. And in order to get to the door, their whole plan is to get to a point to where they can be what’s known as an influencer, which is, are these people online that do nothing but put themselves into situations to get attention, so that they can then become ambassadors for different brands all over the place.

Make money that way and use Instagram the whole time for doing that. What they expose with this movie, is the fact of how the game it can be cheated. And that no way can it be cheated. It’s expected to be cheated.

Some of the top famous people that you know, have have cheated this game and they goes into detail, I’m not going to ruin it for you.

But these three people is a very, very interesting story of what it takes to be able to move ahead, what you trade off in that process of moving head, and what you really consider to be success.

Not only that, what it takes to get attention, what it takes to become famous, what famous actually means.

Why would you want to be famous?

We talk a lot about the power of celebrity here on this show. We discuss a lot about how becoming a celebrity even in just a small little group, becoming a celebrity within a very small niche can make you very powerful in your industry and allow you to be seen allow you to stand out. Everything on this show is all about standing out.

In fact, I wrote a book, 9 Ways to Amazon-Proof Your Business, it’s all about standing out standing apart from the competition, so that you can really be the next thing so that you can gain the exposure necessary in order to market whatever you want to the masses, whatever that may be, maybe it’s your cause that you’re behind.

Or maybe it’s the widget that you’re trying to sell. Maybe it’s your network marketing makeup, you know, it could be anything.

The point is how does a person goes about standing out and what are the barriers?

What are the short cuts and all the rest. This movie is fabulous for this stuff. Because it just exposes a lot of it without not a whole lot of

moralizing or anything about it. It kind of gives both sides of it. But at the same time, I think it’s really, really, really worth watching. I’m going to go into more details about what I got out of it. And I’d love to hear what you think. Go out, go watch this on HBO. If you’ve got HBO Max, I know there’s a whole lot of deals going on with HBO Max.

There’s different ways you can get it relatively inexpensively. If you don’t have it yet. It’s worth getting on a number of levels. They’ve got a lot of great material I’ve mentioned other movies that you could find on HBO Max, this is exclusive to them currently.

So go check it out Fake, Famous, good movie, really worth watch. And I like to thank Frank Kern for recommending it. He’s the one that mentioned it not not long ago on a video that he put out, and that’s why I went out and watch it.

So it kind of shows you the power of influencing online, especially even in the business space. Apart from Instagram, apart from a lot of the more poppy things. There’s definitely an area for we’re always influencing each other one way or another. Whether you consider that an influencer or not.

Hopefully, you’ll go out and check that out. We’re going to be back here tomorrow night. In the meantime, Hey, get out there and you let the magic happen.

Frank Kern’s 3-Part Pitch ⚾⚾⚾

Who the heck is Frank Kern and why should his pitch matter to you anyway.

Frank Kearn’s 3-part pitch.

Hi, I’m Brian Pombo. Welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live.

I wanted to pass along an idea that I just recently heard and I know he’s mentioned it in previous times, but he had put out some videos. And just in case you hadn’t seen them or in case you had, and just need a refresher, want to go over Frank currents three part pitch.

Now why would you need a three part pitch for any reason that it really comes down to if you’re looking to put out any type of advertising whatsoever, you’re going to have some type of a pitch in there, if it’s decent advertising, you’re going to be offering something to the public to whoever’s watching it, listening to it, reading it, whether it be physical, whether it be a video online, it doesn’t matter.

It’s all the same thing, it all comes back to the offer.

And I’ve heard other people bring this up recently, Russell Brunson and a number of other people say that the really the most important skill that you could have is the ability to craft a good offer.

So to really realize to show the public to show your potential customer, what they could possibly have. And this is a nice simple way of thinking about it. That’s why I like it so much.

It’s why I like so much of what Frank Kern does, I know I’ve talked a lot about him in the past, because I pay very close attention to what he discusses because he oftentimes has the ability to crystallize something and break it down to a very simple way of understanding it.

And this is one of those things, it’s the three part pitch.

Okay, here’s the different parts. Number one, the first step that you need to do is talk about what it is that they want. What do they want?

What does your customer base want, what are they after?

That’s the first step you got to talk about that.

The second step is, you got to talk about how do they get it?

How do they go about getting it?

How do they get what you’re offering?

So you’re talking about what it is, and why they want it, how they should, how they can get it.

And then the third part, which is probably the most important part, and really the part that most people leave out of their advertising, is what? How is their life going to be different?

After getting this thing, this service this product, it doesn’t matter what it is? How is it going to affect their life?

In other words, what is the end, long-term benefit from using said product or service?

Okay, I’m gonna use an example.

Earlier today, we were recording a podcast for Grants Pass VIP, which you can go and listen to these podcasts over at GrantsPassVIP.com. It’s a very specific show that has to do with a locality. But the the ideas that we talked about there are universal.

So it’s worth listening to and this episode will be out in the in the coming weeks, but spoke with, Dr. Cory Fawcett.

And he talked that he actually helps train doctors and professionals, high end professionals, how to fix their finances, how to fix their finances and go beyond to make their finances really ideal.

And how do you go about doing that?

And he’s had experience doing it for himself because he’s a doctor. And so he’s did it for himself. And then now he’s trying to know the people how to do it.

So really cool deal.

How would he go about explaining something like this?

Well, it’s real simple. What am I offering, I’m offering you for example, is one of his books is all about how to get out of debt. So how to become debt free.

So I’m offering you a way to be able to get debt free.

Secondly, the way that you do it is you buy this book and follow the steps that I have in it. And the third thing is imagine what life would be like, if you were debt free, if you just had all that debt swept aside, and he discussed having having half a million dollars in debt and being able to break himself out of that.

So he knows that other people can do it. So larger or smaller the amount of money doesn’t matter if you follow the principle, you can get yourself out of debt.

And so he discusses how that’s that the magic that happens.

When you’re done with your debt and when it’s gone. When everything that you make from that point forward. You’re actually making that money you get to keep that money.

You get to invest that money, do whatever you want with it, instead of continuing to pour it back into the debt, imagine what your life would be like, you see, and that’s a simple way to cover those three points.

I’m just doing that off the top of my head.

But you could do it for anything. I don’t care what you’re selling. I don’t care what you’re talking about to people. You can break anything down to those three parts. And that’s why I love it so much.

That’s why Frank Kern such a cool guy.

By the way, you can find stuff out about Frank Kern, just go and do a Google search and or go check out any social media. He’s out there. He’s got his videos and everything else.

He’s always promoting something new. I think the latest I heard was LearnWithKern.com, so you’re welcome to check that out.

Daily Content Breakdown

http://DreamBizChat.com

All right, if you’re interested in making daily content today, we’re going to be covering a daily content breakdown.

I’m Brian Pombo, welcome back to the Orange Office in Grants Pass, Oregon.

Today we’re talking about daily content and yesterday it was our 100th episode. During that episode I was backwards. Let me see am I backwards today? I think I am. Hold on, let me see if I can switch that. Can I switch it during the broadcast? Look at that. Wow. I should have done that yesterday. I didn’t notice until after I was done. It was completely backwards, the entire episode, I had the number 100 showing up on the screen and it showed up backwards as zero zero one which is interesting because the very first episode I did way back in April (It was May).

The first episode I had was also backwards and everything that I showed including the DreamBizChat.com cue card, including that it all showed up backwards.

Of course I did it again on the hundredth episode. So that was just a special little piece of entertainment just for you.

Today we’re going to break down daily content.

If you were thinking of putting out any form of daily content, a lot like some of the people that I’ve been talking to recently, I’m going to break down kind of the things that I’d encourage you to watch for.

These are three items and maybe I’ll go into more depth as we go along. But these are three items that are specifically from a guy named Frank Kern. He’s currently working with Grant Cardone and they have their own advertising agency called Cardone-Kern. You can find them at CardoneKern.com. I’m not here to advertise for them, I don’t get any payment from them or anything else.

But I’ve learned a lot from Frank Kern over the years and he’s been a huge encouragement to myself to actually put on daily content like I do here at Brian J. Pombo Live.

The three things that he says that you’re going to want to look for, that Frank Kern talks about, if you’re putting out any type of regular content, and I suggest daily are these three things.

Number one, Establishing Value, number two, Demonstrating Goodwill, and number three, Making Offers.

You’ll notice that every video that I do, I attempt in most cases to do each of those three things, so let me go through them. I’m going to give you my own definition. I don’t know if they’re Frank Kerns definition or not.

I’ll tell you how I define these and how I tie them back into these videos that you’re watching right now.

Number one, establishing value. Establishing value is in its most basic format. Establishing the fact that you’re going to be presenting value right here right now and that you present value or have something of value for people on a regular basis, either through your business or any point that you’re trying to get across, having something valuable.

I start every episode with a kind of a headline if you will. This is what we’re going to be talking about. Or this is a little curiosity piece that may give you an idea of what we’re going to be talking about and it just kinda starts the ball rolling and shows you that where we’re going.

I tried to put it in perspective of the person viewing or listening, so I’ll call it how to do this or the top such and such for this.

I want to grab attention and talk about it from their perspective as much as possible, as the viewers perspective, your perspective as much as possible. That’s how I go about establishing value.

Number two, demonstrating goodwill. Now in demonstrating goodwill. It’s actually in the process of, of providing value and there’s a whole lot of issues that go along with this, especially if you’re in a form of information or education business because you’re like, “how much do I give away?” How much is too much?

Everything else, tomorrow’s episode, we’re going to be talking about how much information is too much information to give. I’ve talked about it a little bit in past episodes, but we’re going to go into depth on that specific point because there are DreamBizChat.com.

If this is the first video you’ve seen, this is the first time you’ve seen this. Let me talk about this and if this is a video, if you’ve seen any of these videos before or heard any of these podcasts before, you’ve heard me discuss DreamBizChat.com and this is the offer that I make to a very specific crowd.

It’s a very small, small, small, tiny amount of the people who are watching or listening or reading the transcript of this afterwards.

This is for business owners and executives of companies that are in the self-reliance field, meaning they have product service or an overall storyline that encourages people to become more self reliant.

To work more for themselves, to do what they need to do to become as independent as possible.

Those are the people I’m going after and what I’m talking about is helping them go from where they’re at in their already successful business to an absolute dream business. That’s where I’m looking to take them.

If they go to DreamBizChat.com and if you’re one of those people, you go to DreamBizChat.com and go and watch the video there and it takes you through the process and to see if you can have the chance to have a free discussion with me in the future on the phone or on online video.

So that’s it. That’s the offer. That’s one of the simplest offers that I make. It’s not not selling anything, but you could sell something in an offer. It’s a very simple offer.

In my case, you could have it and won’t be more complicated. You could have it be something free. You could have it be something that people paid for. You could have it be something a little bit different every time.

Repetition helps in a sense because more than likely most people are not going to be catching all your videos, catching all your audio or can’t you go all your blogs.

Those are the three areas that I would recommend doing if you’re doing any form of daily content, either some type of video, some type of audio, audio, podcasts, something of that sort or some type of writing, some type of text.

Blogging is a common one that people talk about, but any of those three, if you’re doing those on a daily basis or regular basis, make an offer, have an offer involved somewhere in there. It does a whole lot of things. For one thing, it gives people something to do.

If they feel like they know, like, and trust you or they want to learn more about you, it gives them a direction to go.

And so for example, if you go to DreamBizChat.com, you could type this in or you could go to the description of wherever you’re watching and listening to this and you can find the link. You can either copy and paste it over if it’s not a live link, but in most cases it’s going to be a live link. You just click on and go straight over there.

Having that option for people makes a big difference. So these are the three ways, the three things that you want to have in some form in all of your content that you put out there.

There’s a couple other little things that I’ve learned along the way and I’m learning new things all the time or things to add and so forth.

I’ll give you an idea of one of the things that I have added is a tagline on the end. And kind of a similar flow in the very, very beginning, like I mentioned, having a headline, having kind of a low introduction piece. And at the very end I have a little tagline then I’m going to do right now, and that’s going to be the end of today’s show.

But tomorrow, like I mentioned, tomorrow we are going to be discussing information and how much is too much to give for free when you’re doing any form of content marketing and you’re providing free content out there when is too much, when are you giving away the farm, when you’re wanting people to give you money to be able to get that same information, what we’ll be talking about that tomorrow.

In the meantime, get out there and let the magic happen.

Quality vs. Quantity – Content Marketing

http://DreamBizChat.com

Quality versus quantity in regards to content marketing.

Hi, I’m Brian Pombo with BrianJPombo.com and we’re continuing our series of talks on content marketing.

Whether you’re doing daily videos, live videos via social media, on Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube. Whether you are doing podcasting, any type of audio marketing, any type of a recorded content that you’re sending out there of any sort. Or blogs, any type of pay per click content.

What is better, what should you be paying more attention to, quality or quantity?

Should you be super concerned with how valuable is or should you be focused on how much of it you put out there? It’s a little bit of a trick question, isn’t it?

You need both. You need quality and quantity.

The reason why I bring this up is because Frank Kern, a marketing and advertising specialist, was out there and he had mentioned this just recently and I wanted to kind of give my take on it and it ties in beautifully with the other pieces of content marketing that we’ve been talking about.

A few videos ago, we were talking about a binge-watching and that ties into this. Also the fact that if you have a lot of quantity out there, you give the opportunity for people that just may have just ran across you.

They find you a little bit interesting. You give them more to be able to access. More to be able to learn more about you, to get to know, like, and trust you.

That’s where the quantity is very valuable, but you have to have valuable content to begin with. So the arguments really about quality and you don’t need anything all that fancy.

I’m here in an office that I already use, I don’t rent it out just for this. We’ve got this office we already use. I run a few businesses out of here and it’s a big room.

I don’t know if you can tell from the sound. The sound is very echoey in here. If I had my way, I’d be in a smaller office. It would have better sound. I’m not using the direct sound. I’m using my iPhone eight.

I’m not using the direct sound off of it. I’ve got a little lapel mic here that I’ve got linked up and going in through via a adapter. This is a lapel mic that’s made for a cell phone video. It goes through an adapter into the iPhone eight. If you know anything about those things, you’ve got to have an adapter. It if you’re dealing with anything regular. So I’ve got that.

I’ve got a little tripod and I had to go out and get a little adapter to be able to hold my phone because I’ve got a case on my phone and the normal adapter doesn’t work, but I got that.

I got it. It holds my phone, didn’t cost that much, this isn’t a big, expensive, outrageous thing. I ended a couple of lights, that I got extremely inexpensively Chinese made lights off of Amazon.com. And that’s it.

And I kind of unfold these things every day. If we’re going to have a talk together from inside the office. Sometimes I do it from outside the office. Sometimes you’ll see some of my older videos did from my car. Sometimes I’ll do it from the park if I’m out with the family and that’s it.

It doesn’t have to be fancy.

The aesthetics doesn’t have to be high quality. It doesn’t have to be high end. It doesn’t have to be magical. It’s good to have things at a good angle so that you’re not horrific. I’ve had to talk with some friends who get kind of a horrific angle, probably too close or too far away or it looks funny and not good enough lighting.

You got to have relatively decent lighting. You gotta be careful with that. You don’t want it too bright and you don’t want it too dark. You don’t want to be off-putting, but at the same sense, it doesn’t have to be magical.

It’s just simple, good enough is good enough when it comes to quality. Where quality matters is the value that you’re providing. Hopefully I’m providing a value to you and you’ve already found use out of what we’ve talked about. And hopefully in the future you’ll be able to find use out of what I’m talking about and you can go back and watch all the other videos and get something out of that.

I cover kind of a wide range, try and stick to my three main pillars of what I like to talk about. Everything has to be system based, relationship reliant and reality grounded.

So those are the three main areas that I focus in and we cover all forms of business and whatever you’re talking about, if you’re trying to reach your ideal customer, you got to find out, okay, what am I going to stick to, what are the topics I’m going to stick to?

And you just, you’ll notice if you watch me enough, I repeat myself a lot. I go back to the same principles a lot. I cover a wide territory, but it’s all under those three main areas. I recommend doing the same thing for you if you’re putting content out there and always, always, always have a call to action.

Here’s my call to action. It’s called DreamBizChat.com. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. If this is your first time you’ve seen my videos, you haven’t.

So let me tell you what it is. DreamBizChat.com is a place where I send people who are business owners and executives of self-reliance based companies.

So meaning that you work in or for a company that offers products and services that help people to become more self reliant. Maybe it teaches them a new skill. Maybe it provides products to help them out with a new skill, ways that they can make more money, ways that they can provide more for themselves and for others.

That’s just some of the ideas that might apply to you. And if that’s the case, go to DreamBizChat.com. Watch the video. It’s a quick little video. It gives you an idea of what I have available in terms of a free chat with me regarding the creation of a dream business for you.

So that’s all it is.

It’s a call to action, have a simple call to action that you can direct people to. Give a little bit of information, provide a little bit of goodwill as they say. And that’s all that’s really necessary for content marketing.

I like to make it short. It’s available on more places if it’s shorter. If it’s under 10 minutes, it allows me to get on to Instagram and Linkedin easily.

At least nowadays that’s where some of the limitations are at. I like doing it live via Facebook because that allows me to reach a few more people and I’m also on Youtube and through many podcasts and probably a couple other places by the time you’re watching this.

So you can always find more of this at BrianJPombo.com. Tomorrow we’re going to be talking still about content marketing, but another angle on it. So come back tomorrow and we’ll see you then.

In the meantime, get out there and let the magic happen.
