Want attention? Watch the headlines.

Hi I’m Brian Pombo, welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live.

Headlines are funny thing, headlines they exist in all forms out there. Okay.

And so whether you’re talking about videos on YouTube, whether you’re talking about links that you’re clicking on, but the specific thing I wanted to point at, is actually News Headlines.

News is a great place to look at these types of things. And you could still see it, when you’re, when you’re shopping in a grocery store, you could still see tabloids, which have amazing headlines, or the magazines that are sitting on the rack next to that on your way out the door.

Those have great headlines, they can be very specific to the audience they’re trying to reach. But if you look at the headlines you think.

What attracts my eye first what words attract my eye?

Me personally, and I’m talking about you ask yourself that but you could really do it when looking through the news online.

Just go to a new site or go to one of these sites that has a lot of different news, go to Google News, or what have you. Just search through the headlines and look at what attracts you.

Look at what really attracts you a little bit to read the whole thing?

Which word is it that pulled you in and what’s that say about you?

And then watch for the ones that are nearly impossible to pick out.

Look at this one. That is from the New York Post, which really do have good headlines. I mean, they’re known for their sensationalism, they kind of go after a lot of that. But they really do have these sensational headlines.

Here’s one talking about the thing that you definitely don’t want to drink at McDonald’s. Does that pull you in?

I mean, anybody that that ever goes to McDonald’s at all?

Or even if you don’t go to McDonald’s, you’re you kind of want to know what that is. What is the one drink that you don’t want to drink at McDonald’s?

My first thought was the milkshakes because the last time I had a milkshake at McDonald’s, it tasted like melted plastic. It was horrible. But maybe it maybe it’s something else.

What is it?

What is it I’ll tell you at the end, but doesn’t drive you a little bit nuts?

A lot of you are going to be clicking off of this just to go see what the answer is. If you wait till the end of the video or the audio here, I will tell you what it is but that’s look at how it puts it. Its hooks in you.

If you can have that type of curiosity-based headline, oh, man, that’s fabulous. And that doesn’t. I know you’re not on. I’m not saying you’re out there putting out news stories.

But I’m saying if you’re trying to get the attention of anybody, a prospective customer or client if you’re trying to get the attention of a donor if you’re in a nonprofit, and you’re looking for donations, no matter what it’s the same idea.

If you can get really good at grabbing attention with nothing more than a couple of words, just a string of words put together.

If you can do that, you can print cash. In the end, that’s what it comes down to. You can or produce whatever you want to produce. The famous copywriter Gary Halbert was famous for putting out an ad for a girlfriend.

He wrote this big long ad with a really nice headline, I don’t have it in front of me right now.

But we’ll talk about it another time where he was advertising that he was he was looking for love. Okay, he was able to do that it doesn’t matter what it is that you’re looking to get.

I’m not saying it’s a one has to do with cold, hard cash. That’s just one of the things that we can all relate to. Because it tends to be something that we all need to use at some point in our life.

But if you’re talking about something that you’re wanting to do, and you’re wanting to get attention you’re wanting to bring attention in, then look at what draws your attention and start questioning why.

Why does that draw my attention?

What is it specifically wood something else using that same angle?

Also be able to draw my attention?

I mean, look at this one is curiosity. Curiosity is based on something that’s very familiar to us one way or the other, whether you’ve been to McDonald’s in the last 10 years or not, you’re still going to be curious because everyone’s been or know someone who’s been to McDonald’s. And it’s one of the most, you know, ubiquitous restaurant chain. is in the entire world.

So it’s going to pull you in, what is the one thing that I wouldn’t want to drink there and why?

Why would that be?

So here’s the answer. The answer is, is she said she got she learned how to make sweet tea at McDonald’s. And they have unsweetened tea, and they have sweet tea. And what’s the difference between the two?

Well, she said, for every gallon of sweet tea that they make, they put in an entire pound of sugar. And they had her making it and she said, she used to get it all the time.

She constantly drinks this stuff, and they get a lot of people playing, you know, tea, it’s gonna be a little bit more healthy than the soda or what have you.

But they’re literally pouring a pound of sugar up a pound package of sugar into a gallon and mixing that up. She said it made her sick to her stomach, and she never drank it again.

No, it was for some people that may not bother you at all. It’s not as outrageous as it seems, when you’re just reading the headline, but it might be outrageous to you. It’s enough to draw you in. It’s a little curiosity and interesting little story.

Nothing major. It’s not, it’s not going to change the world. But look at how a headline can pull you in, can play with your imagination, just a simple string of words. This happens across the internet.

It’s been happening since before all of us were born with print media, paper, physical media, they were using it then and they were talking about the science behind it back then.

So there are lots of people that talk about headlines. I have many, many, many videos and podcasts going way back discussing headlines. I’d love to love to hear your thoughts on this.

Have you ever considered this?

This idea before ad if not, why not?

And if so, how have you used headlines in the past to be able to gain attention in whatever format that you’re using headlines, the title of a video or what have you, it could be used a million different ways.

How have you use headlines to get attention? Leave a comment wherever you’re watching or listening to this or you can leave on over at BrianJPombo.com.

Qualities Business Investors Look For: No. 7 🕵️ (Market Enthusiasm / Irrational Passion)

Part 7 in a series of videos on what Brian looks for in companies.

Qualities business investors look for number seven.

Hi, I’m Brian Pombo welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live.

This is the final one out of a list of seven of the top things, not the only things. But the top things that business investors look for.

How do I know this?

I’m a business investor.

And these are some of the top things that I look for when I’m looking for a business to invest in. Some of these are more broad, more vague, more subjective, others are very, very, very objective, and very specific.

This is one of those that’s a little on the subjective side. But when it’s there, it’s undeniable. It’s also these are in no particular order.

So you can go back and watch the other videos where I talk about numbers one through six. But this final one, really, I would say, has supremacy over the others in general, because, with it, you can always find the others you can build on the others.

Without it, it’s still possible to build a business, but it’s tougher across the board. So it’s kind of this magical element that’s difficult to find. But when you find it, when you can wrap your arms around it, it’s fabulous.

And so what is this number seven, I’m going to tell you in a second. But first, I gotta, since you’re here, I got to remind you about my book, 9 Ways to Amazon-Proof Your Business.

It’s a thin book, it’s a quick read and it provides nine very specific strategies that you can use. These are long-term strategies, these aren’t just things you could just put them into place and forget about them.

These are long-term strategies that you’ll be working on from now until the end of your business. Nine strategies you can use, though, to make yourself completely competition-proof, even if that so-called competition is amazon.com.

Even if it’s a big player like that, so go get yourself a copy of this book, you get a free one if you want a free digital copy over an AmazonProofBook.com.

Okay, let’s talk about number seven.

Drumroll, please.

Number seven is what I call MARKET ENTHUSIASM or IRRATIONAL PASSION. If you have a marketplace that you’re targeting a group of people, a type of a person if you’re targeting them with your product and service, or one of your products and services.

And that group of people, that description that you have for them describes a person that is irrationally passionate about what it is that you’re trying to sell to them.

You’ve got a winner, you’ve got something that all it takes is some tweaking, you’ve got something that you can build a business on. And the more evergreen that marketplace is, in terms of the type of thing that never really goes away. You may have different people come in and out of that market.

But if you’ve got something that never really goes away, that’s magic in a business and everything else can be built around that principle when you’ve defined who they are.

If they’re irrationally passionate about what it is that they’re after, then there’s no there are very few limits on the amount that you can charge. There are very few limits on the amount of quality that you can pump into it. There’s that market enthusiasm is magical.

The person that used to talk about this a lot. I’ve got one of his books back here was, you know, this is how to make maximum money in minimum time.

Okay, this gentleman’s name was Gary Halbert, and he used to talk about this irrational passion.

It it’s irreplaceable. It he talked about a starving crowd if you can get rid of all the other advantages. And if you had nothing else, but a starving crowd and your job is to sell hotdogs, so or anything.

If you’ve got a starving crowd, that’s what you want when you’re out to sell food. It’s the perfect ideal scenario. If you’ve got that nothing else matters.

Now all you got to do is figure out okay, how do I get the message to them?

How do I get my food in their hands as soon as possible?

That’s what you’re after. It doesn’t take you selling food or them being starving. What it takes is as close to that as possible in your market, in your space in your industry.

This is the way to think about things if you’ve got a rap on that, boy, I can speak for myself, but not just for myself for anybody that’s out there looking to invest in businesses, whether it’s investing capital, or investing time or expertise.

That’s what we’re looking for.

Because it’s not something you come across all the time. But if you’ve got something that ties in with that passion, you’ve got a product or service that ties in with that. All the rest is just details, we can figure out the rest as we go along.

So hopefully, all those make sense to you. Go back, rewatch this, see if you can wrap your mind around it. I love to hear any questions you have about any of these. Or if you’re trying to figure out whether it applies to you leave a comment wherever you’re watching or listening to this.

You can always leave a comment over at BrianJPombo.com, where we have an archive of these videos and audio broadcasts that we put out on a daily basis. And please continue watching, listening wherever you’re at and we’ll continue this conversation.

I’ve had a lot of fun with this last series. Hopefully, it’s been helpful to you.

We’ll be back tomorrow night. In the meantime, get out there and let the magic happen.

I’m Doing Content Marketing, Now What? 🤔

Thoughts on repurposing your content marketing.

Transcription

Doing content marketing, now what?

Hi I’m Brian Pombo, welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live.

We’ve been talking about content marketing, about putting out content out into the ether, and seeing what sticks seeing what comes back.

Most of the time we’re going to be talking about how to do that online, you can do it really anywhere, any form of advertising can be content. A lot of times they, in the old days, these home advertorials, which were ad for advertising, that were also kind of had a editorial feel to them in a newspaper or a magazine.

This over and over and over again, where you start reading something, you start looking at something, then you realize, wait a second, this is an advertisement, it’s you know, and you get pulled into it.

So that’s where infomercials came from, you know, the advertisements that were done on TV late at night, so forth and you see it that line melds a whole lot online.

Because there’s really nobody regulating it, there’s really nobody paying that close attention while there are regulators but it’s not a big deal.

So that’s all content marketing, though, because you could get quality information from something that could be an ad, or it could be seen as an ad or has a small element of it.

That’s advertising or marketing.

We’ve talked about content marketing. And if you’re out there, if you’re doing it on a regular basis online is simple, because you got all these platforms that are free to publish.

It doesn’t take that much more money to pay for advertising to get it out to a larger crowd, and to get to a specific crowd. So all these things are possible with content marketing, advertising is a big piece. But I want to talk about something else a little bit different.

Today, I want to talk about information marketing. Because if you are putting out content on a regular basis, you’re creating content on a regular basis. And that content has a value unto itself. Yeah, it’s available for free online.

But that doesn’t mean it can’t be sold. There’s a lot of people that are doing podcasts and everything else putting out free content out there.

And then taking and repurposing it. Let’s say you have an audio podcast that goes out tons of audio podcasts, sell their transcripts in book format, or note book format, where they’re it’s just it’s nothing more than the written words of the words that you can get for free online.

But if you consolidate it in a certain way, it creates a new value.

I held this up in the very beginning, because this is a book by Gary Halbert, he put this out. This is called How to Make Maximum Money in Minimum Time. You can go and find a copy of this somewhere online.

And the brilliant thing about this book for one thing, if you don’t know anything about Gary Halbert was an amazing copywriter, amazing sales person in print.

And so just reading his words, give you this incredible feel for the type of writer he was and how he sucks you in and can get to a point in a very different type of way. And it’s something to study just on its own.

But if you just look at what he did, this all came just about each piece of this except for the very beginning and the very end, he kind of introduces it. And then he kind of concludes it at the end with new material.

But everything else in between are articles out of a newsletter, which he previously sold to customers, before people would get on a monthly newsletter and be able to get those in the mail and so forth, and then eventually online via email.

That’s all these are all these are articles out of his newsletters repurpose, put in a book and sold as a book.

Does the information have less value?

No, it has more value in a lot of cases, because it’s perceived value because I have an ebook form. I am getting a different value out of it than I would a newsletter. I perceive it differently and your customers will too.

The fact that you just have information products about these topics that you’re talking about on a daily or weekly basis, or what have you be a content marketing that’s valuable.

You can take these things, you’ve determined the books, you could turn them into audio packs, you could turn them into downloadables you could take things off of the free end and put it on the paid end. And even if that isn’t your main source of income, that’s not the point.

The fact that you have this information that you have out there that it’s available. It brings the value of everything else that you’re doing and promoting up whether anyone purchases it or not just you having it there gives you high authority gives you more of a background, more depth, and the ability for people to find out more about you.

Whether they do or they don’t, they respect you more. They look at you quite a bit differently. I hope I hope that makes sense to you. We’ll talk more about this as time goes on.

Because information marketing is a powerful powerful tool and content marketing, just just simple daily or weekly content marketing can create you information products very easily.

My entire book, 9 Ways to Amazon-Proof Your Business is nothing more than a consolidation of my daily videos all on this topic. And then took those, reworder them a little bit to fit the book style, and added a little bit more information here and there.

Other than that, that’s what this book is made up of. You can find and I mentioned it in the very beginning of the book, you can find all this information online. If you want to go search out the videos, you can go watch the videos, but that’s not the point.

The point is it has a value unto itself in book form and it’s another example of how to do this by the way you can get your own free copy at AmazonProofBook.com that’s all I got for today. You have a great night. In the meantime, get out there and let the magic happen.

Don’t Step Over Gold For Pennies

Some thoughts on hard work vs working smart.

Don’t step over gold for pennies.

Hi, I’m Brian Pombo, welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live.

I’m coming to you again from my car, because it’s late later tonight in this is the I’m recording this the day after Christmas 2020. And because of that, we have a house full of sleeping people.

I wanted to be able to come at you with the volume, I want to come at you. And so we’re here in the car.

I wanted to talk about I was reminded of a situation we were talking about a relative that used to do a lot of…a lot of hustling, a lot of selling, buying and selling items.

And we were talking about him. In fact, I remember his wife, saying that he was he was quite a hustler. And it was an interesting thing, because somebody said that he you know it, he did a whole lot of work, and would end up making you know, 50 bucks after putting out you know, 5000 bucks worth of time, money and effort into something and feel like he was a champion.

That’s all fine and good and there’s nothing wrong with that. But it reminds me of a lot of business owners, we get ourselves into a situation to where as Gary Halbert put it, you step over, he said something to the extent of stepping over pennies to I mean, stepping over gold, to get the pennies, you know, you’re bending down and picking up pennies, but you’re stepping over gold coins and bars, and you’re stepping over all the silver at the same time.

And you’ve got to realize that there’s there’s value in effort, there’s value in time, there’s value in thought, there’s value in it. And that’s beyond just the physical value, the money that you put out. And you have to look at whether it’s really all worth it or not.

In talking to my wife about the situation and talking about some of some clients that I’ve had in the past and other people, a lot of people fall in love with the idea of putting out effort and thinking that there is value in merely working hard.

Not that I don’t think there you shouldn’t work hard, or have a strong worth that work ethic. But that doesn’t mean that you should be getting an ego high off of it. And I think way too many of us as business owners get just feel really amazing about really sweating blood and working really hard, where we don’t get a huge effect off of it. And that’s the difference between working smart and working hard. Yes, you should work hard.

But you shouldn’t work hard at the loss of working smart, you ought to pay attention to where your efforts going. And whether it’s actually producing anything.

Just because you work hard, doesn’t mean you’re creating enough value for the marketplace.

It doesn’t mean that people truly appreciate what you’re bringing, and therefore is going to reward you in the long run and reward you consistently which is hopefully what you’re going after when it comes to owning a business.

Hopefully you’re looking at making everything to the extent of having to be somewhat systematic after a while to where you don’t have to continue putting in as much work to where people are paying for something consistently, because you’re producing consistent value. I don’t know. Hopefully that makes sense to you.

Hey, if you haven’t checked out my book yet go get a copy. It’s called, 9 Ways to Amazon-Proof Your Business. It may open your eyes up to some of these ideas. If you relate with any of this at all. You get a free copy at AmazonProofBook.com we’ll be back here tomorrow night. In the meantime, you get out there and let the magic happen.

Standing Out With Direct Mail Grabbers

http://DreamBizChat.com

Standing out with direct mail grabbers.

Hi I’m Brian Pombo welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live brought to you live every day from Grants Pass Oregon back here.

Today we’re looking specifically at a piece of mail that dropped in and this is one that anyone that’s in Southern Oregon has probably gotten these before from Butler Automotive Group. They sell a Ford’s and Acura’s.

It’s with a large dealerships here locally and if you asked me before which, well, I’ll help go cover that in a second.

I want to show you one specific thing about this piece of junk mail that I lovingly refer to a junk mail. Because I work a lot and in junk mail, I help people to use even physical direct mail like this to get attention.

It’s all about standing out.

If you can stand out with your customers, you have a chance of being heard and then eventually take them down the line of being known, liked, and trusted.

Right.

How do you get known?

First you got to stand up.

You got to be rise above everything and oftentimes when we get a bunch of stuff in the mail, we parse through it pretty quick.

Pay attention, next time you grab the mail and you’ve got a handful of things, what are you doing?

You’re looking for, okay, what’s the stuff I don’t need?

What does this stuff that I don’t even need to think about, look at or do anything else with?

One of these would normally be something that you would just kind of toss aside the differences with this particular one is that it comes with a little key.

That’s an actual physical key.

Now it hasn’t been cut specifically so that it works on anything, but it’s one of those deals that they send you an actual key, taped on here and it says your odds of winning this SUV is one in 71,158 if you received a key and your confirmation code matches the prize board, you are the winner of a 2019 Ford Escape SC or 25,000 cash.

That’s all this is.

This is a representative.

But many people don’t know why, something like this is in a piece of mail and it’s because it stops you.

It stops you and in the industry, it’s referred to as lumpy mail or as a grabber.

I remember Gary Halbert, a famous marketing genius, used to talk about grabbers.

Often times they talk about those being in an envelope, but this is an example of a free mailer that is, you know, it’s a regular mailer that you normally just kind of toss aside, but this grabs your attention.

It’s a little heavier and if you’re feeling something a little lumpy in it and you’re going to pay attention to this little key, whether you’ve received one of these before or not.

I always notice this little key when it shows up it comes a couple times a year that they do this same deal over and over again.

I can tell you it probably works for them because they do it over and over and over again.

So it must be working.

It must be worth tossing in a little bit of extra metal and plastic into the cost of the mailer to get that extra little attention to make you stop a little. Just a little bit and pay a little closer attention to their little piece of mail here rather than just tossing it aside like every other piece of junk mail that just kinda comes through and it’s obvious.

It’s obvious right off the right off the bat. It’s an ad, but this little grabber stops you.

It’s all about standing out.

Now I don’t know whether it works for them or not.

They may just be doing it because they’ve always done it.

It’s funny how businesses can work sometimes.

I’d love to find out if you are in the Southern Oregon area and you know anything about the Butler Automotive Group or the marketing people that work with them to to build this little thing.

I’d be interested to know how well it works for them because I could tell you, I could always talk about a piece of mail like this with the keys a few times a year.

It was always one of those things that’s always on my mind, but I couldn’t tell you which automotive group did it.

I really couldn’t.

I knew it was one of the big ones, but I couldn’t tell you that it was Butler Automotive Group.

So it’s not a name recognition thing that they were going for.

They’re going for specific people. I think specific people that are in the market for a car and just trying to get your attention, that split second longer may just do the trick.

That’s just one example.

There are a million examples.

I love lumpy mail.

I love any type of mail that’s different and odd and off the wall.

Most people don’t know you can mail just about anything.

There are people that mail coconuts that all you do is you, if you put a label on it and you can fit the postage on it, you can get it through the mail.

As long as it’s not hazardous or anything.

Well, I know you can do something’s alive. You can send chicken eggs through the mail, you can send chickens in the mail, but you got to do it a special way.

But you could take a coconut and hollow it out and seal it back together and you could have that be a mailer.

I mean there were a million things out there. 3D Mail Results, I think I’ve talked about on here before.

3DMailResults.com I think is the website. They’ve got some great examples of lumpy mail, but I just want you to think of the concept of standing out about being just just different enough, it a little bit more attention.

Now, if you could be more different, if you could be more outrageous, if you could stand out a whole lot more, that’s a key to really being able to capture people’s imaginations and to get them to pay attention a little bit longer so that they get to that point with it.

They Know, they Like and they Trust you and that leads the way to having an ongoing customer or client.

So just a little piece. If you’d like to see how you can standout more as a business, then I’d love to be able to talk to you.

“You don’t have to get it right… you just have to get moving” – Gary Halbert, Boron Letters

Stuck?

Hi I’m Brian Pombo welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live coming to you live from grants pass Oregon today. And the real question is, are you stuck? Do you suffer from writer’s block?

Do you get in these times where you just not sure what to do, where to go, how to do it?

Quick little quote from Gary Halbert as a famous a copywriter marketer. This is from his book, The Boron Letters. It’s a good book. It’s worth reading, small book. These were letters sent from Boron prison where he was at, for some type of mail fraud or something like that…some deal.

He talks about it, but these are letters to his son Bond Halbert. And in this particular point he says,

“You don’t have to get it right, you just have to get moving.”

And what he’s telling him about is how to get out there and just start writing and start getting good at writing. And it’s, but it’s a concept that applies to anything.

Sometimes the best advice for getting started with something is just to get moving.

Just get going.

If you take the concept of writer’s block, let’s say you had a writer’s block, you’re not able to come up with anything, you’re not able to write that next article or what have you. The best thing to do is just start writing and it doesn’t matter if you start writing a song that you have in your head or nonsense words start writing in that process, in getting into emotion, it will turn into something.

So here’s a great example.

These videos, I’ve started doing these videos back in May of this year and the whole process with them, I wasn’t exactly sure where I wanted to go with it, but I had found through repetition that it helped to just get started to just get moving.

And then I’d find my way through it.

And I have. I’ve done pretty well with these, been pretty happy with them and I plan to do more with them. I’ve got more ideas, more directions to go with them and things to do with the material after it’s been recorded.

So you could be watching this live, but you also may be listening to a recording. You may be listening to a podcast, you may be watching this years later. All of that is by design and all of that I may have come up with later.

You know, different ways to be able to get this information out that you may be reading the transcript of this somewhere. These are all things that come about because I started putting things into motion.

Whatever you’re looking to do, even if you’re not quite sure how to do it, put it into motion.

Don’t worry about getting it right, start it. Doesn’t need to be public, but you need to start the process. Start going forward in the direction that you think is the right way and pay very close attention while you’re doing it to see if it’s going to continue being the right way and you’ll find your way through it.

It’s the best advice out ther and it’s so simple that most people miss it.

Most people will get caught up in this place of writer’s block.

It’s not just about writing, it’s about everything. We get into a place of analysis paralysis and we just don’t want to move forward where the best thing you could possibly do with that thing that you’re just not sure what to do with is to move forward with it and go from there.

So that’s just a little piece of advice, if that’s sounds like the type of thing that you needed advice on or the type of, you know, just simple advice, simple pointers to be able to get you moving in the right direction.

Maybe you’re someone that we, that I should talk to, you know, especially if you’re a business owner or you’re an executive.

Made Content – Now What?

So I made my content, now what?

Hi I’m Brian Pombo welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live. Today still in grants pass, but I’m coming to you from my car. Why? Because I was looking for that darn piece of mail that we were going to talk about today.

I thought it was at one place. It turned out it was at another and I’m looking all over for it. Can’t find it. I know where it’s at though now because a process of elimination, but today we’re not going to talk about that piece of mail.

Today we’re going to talk about something else.

Then tomorrow we’re going to talk about the piece of mail. Today we’re going to discuss content and how it fits, how it fits into any format that you put it into.

Because all of us have a favorite way of delivering content. If you’re doing any type of content marketing, if you’re not, you ought to be, go and check out my other videos that have to do with content marketing.

It’s good stuff, but content marketing is something you should be taking advantage of. It’s free to do. It’s available to everybody and you ought to be out there in some way. And then there’s three main ways that I would say online that you’re going to be doing.

You’re going to be doing one of these three, at least. You’re going to be either writing something or you’re going to be putting your voice out there, or you’re going to be doing video like I’m doing right now, which includes voice, but also the video and things.

So once you made your content, now what do you do with it?

What’s the point, next?

I want to talk about the point of Repurposing Content. This is a term, I don’t know who came up with this term and when it comes to content marketing, but it’s absolutely what you should be doing is Repurposing your Content.

I’ll give you an example.

Today, I just noticed that somebody that I had friended, this is a speaker who I saw, had to have been probably four or five years ago. I saw this speaker speak live. I went online. I saw that a bunch of my friends were friends with this speaker.

I’m going to be friends with them too because I got to meet him and everything. So I went friended him on Facebook and he’s not the youngest person in the world, so maybe he doesn’t use his Facebook that often.

Well he never friended me and he never, you know, ignored it or anything. It just never got friended and so and so I just kind of left it and I’m going, well maybe he doesn’t remember me anything, not that big a deal.

But what happens is out of nowhere today, he friends me back. So now I have access to a whole lot of stuff that he’s putting out there that I didn’t have access to before.

So I’m going through and I’m looking at his materials that he’s put out there and he had a blog post and it’s written out and it’s a good good size blog post.

This is a guy who is very energetic. He’s got a lot to say, he’s got a great voice and a great presentation style. I wish this was in video. I wish this wasn’t audio. I wish I could hear his voice saying this because it means more.

Everyone likes getting media the way that they like getting it.

I like getting a lot of audio.

I also don’t mind video depending on what the presentation is. So, that’s a great example of a situation where I really like getting my media through my ears and my eyes. I really do. I as opposed to having to read it, I would prefer listing to it.

Here’s another example. This is a older book. It’s called How To Make Maximum Money In Minimum Time, by a guy named Gary Halbert.

Gary Halbert’s, a famous a marketeer marketer, copywriter, and he had a number of newsletters, paper, physical newsletters that he sent out for years back in the eighties and nineties. And he took this book. This book is nothing more than a bunch of articles that he wrote for his newsletters. And all he did was add them all together, bound them up.

He’s got a book that’s re-purposing, taking one media, turning it into another form of media.

Now this is taking print and during it into print. I understand that, but he’s taking something that is considered a newsletter.

People think of a newsletter differently.

They think of a book, but all this is is different chapters in the book. He adds a little bit of an intro saying this was originally put in my newsletters.

Hope you find it useful. These are some of the top ones that I’ve, that I’ve enjoyed and I’m going to talk more about his ideas in the future because it’s great stuff, Gary Halbert.

But that’s a form of Repurposing. So you could do it within the same media. You could do it outside of that media. So for example, here I have a video. We take this video, Sean Douglas, our producer, takes this video.

He takes the audio from it and put that out there in podcast form.

So if you go and look for Brian J. Pombo Live in your favorite podcast provider, either Apple podcasts or Spotify or any of these places, you’ll find all these episodes in audio form.

If you’re watching this, then you’re possibly watching on Facebook. You could be watching it on YouTube, you could be watching on LinkedIn or Instagram, all the different places that we have the video available, and then we have it transcribed.

We take it to Temi.com which is a great transcription service, owned by rev.

If you may be with them and they transcribe this, we can then take that. What that does is it just takes what I’m saying and puts it into words. We take those words, put it on a blog post. Now we have a blog post.

If I were to take enough of those blog posts, toss them all together, I have a book.

You see re-purposing, do the content once, have it Repurposed over and over again, and you’re getting more use out of it. You’re expanding your audience because not everybody likes taking in content the same way.

Hopefully some of these ideas were useful to you if you found it useful. If you like to get someone on your team like me to be able to help you out, to expand your business, take it where you wanted to go.
