Brian shares a quote from Vince Lombardi about exhaustion and satisfaction that comes from giving it your all.

Exhausted, in a good way?

Hi I’m Brian Pombo, welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live.

I had a really long day today, it was a Saturday and I packed it in a whole bunch of things to do. And on my way home, I was listening to a few talks, few audio talks and it reminded me of a certain person that I hadn’t looked at his book for a long time.

In his book, there’s a quote, and I’m not even going to show you the book, because we’ll talk about that at a different time. But I want to tell you, this quote is from Vince Lombardi.

Vince Lombardi said, I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour, his greatest fulfillment, to all he holds dear is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle, victorious.

I don’t know how often this has happened to you in your life. In business, it can happen quite a bit, especially when you’re in the process of growing a business, that you get to the point where you’ve just had a day and you’ve left it all on the field, you’re just done.

By the end of the day, you’ve done it all, but at the same time, you feel victorious. You’ve done what you need to do for the day, and you’ve put all you can into it and that’s good enough.

You just feel just really good about what you had accomplished or not accomplished, or at least what you put forth for the day.

Today is one of those days for me.

So I was happy to find that quote because it crystallized the way I saw it.

When was the last time I’ll ask you this question, what was the last time that you felt exhausted because you had given it your all that day?

And you’re in a worthy pursuit of something that’s going in a good direction in your life?

Do you have anything that livens you up in that way and if not, why not?

Just a quick question. Something that’s something that’s been on my mind quite a bit and the people that I get to talk to on a daily basis, some of the people have something that’s driving them forward, and some people don’t and that’s okay.

But if you want to get something, figure out where it is that you want, and go and get it and find some people that can help you out in the process.
